Managing Member
Robert Schachter
Certified Public Accountant
Robert is one of the founding members of Insight Accounting Group LLC (Insight). With over 40 years of experience, he provides pragmatic, practical strategies for complex situations. Robert works proactively with clients to create tax plans for their current & future business needs.
Robert has worked at CPA firms in the financial services industry for nearly his entire career, giving tax consulting and compliance advice to private equity, venture capital, broker-dealer, real estate and family office clients as well as high-net-worth individuals. Robert’s expertise includes tax consulting for investment transactions, estate, gift, and tax succession matters.
Prior to founding IAG, Robert created and led the financial services tax department at his two previous firms. Robert was the anchor from the developmental process to the significant growth and success of each of these endeavors.
Robert’s prior successes with clients and professionals have led him to create Insight. Insight has blossomed into a niche tax consulting and compliance firm where clients and employees receive the utmost attention and care.
Robert is an avid golfer, enjoys fishing and traveling.

Eric Schultz
Certified Public Accountant
Eric has over 30 years of experience providing finance and accounting expertise to clients in the financial services market and other industries. For the last 25 years, he has been a trusted partner to small and mid-sized private equity and venture capital firms, delivering critical business intelligence, fund administration, finance, and accounting support. In addition, Eric provides full-service accounting services to small businesses. Eric is a CPA since October 1995 and holds a BS degree in economics from the State University of New York Oneonta.

Tax Manager
Christopher Dilone
Certified Public Accountant, Master of Science in Taxation
As the Tax Manager at Insight, Chris manages the day-to-day affairs of Insight’s clients, proactively managing and optimizing the tax plans for their current and future business needs. Chris has expertise in tax consulting and compliance for investment transactions and high-net-worth individuals, including estate, gift, and succession tax matters. To stay current on tax matters, Chris utilizes Bloomberg’s Tax Services, including the Daily and International Tax Reports.
Before joining Insight in 2021, Chris worked at CPA firms in the financial services and real estate industries, providing clients with tax consulting and compliance services. Chris graduated from SUNY Old Westbury, earning both his Master of Science in Taxation Cum Laude and Bachelors of Science in Accounting Cum Laude. While in college, he managed the financial operations of a very successful fish market.
In his free time, Chris enjoys taking long walks with his dog, photography, working on his vehicle, and listening to vintage vinyl records.

Senior Tax Accountant
Vishawn Chetram
Master of Business Administrations, Master of Science in Accounting
Vishawn is a Senior Tax Preparer for investment entities, management companies, and the related principal owners and partners. He has significant experience with workpaper spreadsheets including allocations and formulas in Excel. Vishawn as a new hire looks forward to enhancing his tax and client experiences.
Vishawn was a Tax Senior with 4 years of experience in Public Accounting. He prepared and reviewed consolidated and standalone entities specializing in insurance and retail clients that were Corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships. In addition, at the beginning of his career, Vishawn was employed in the payroll/billing department at a medical center in Long Island and as a Budget Aide assistant for the City of New York.
Vishawn graduated from Hofstra in 2014 with a BA in Finance and continued his education receiving an MBA in Finance in 2016 as well as an MS in Accounting in 2021. He has passed 3 parts of the CPA Exam.
Vishawn’s hobbies include reading, swimming, weightlifting, and tasting new foods. He also routinely participates in a flag football league and is very interested in the film industry, writing/producing movies and TV shows.

Tax Accountant
Cheryl Wu
Master of Professional Accounting
Cheryl joined Insight in 2022 as a tax accountant. Her primary focus is partnership and individual taxation in the financial services industry and she has experience in corporate taxation. A highly organized, proactive problem solver, Cheryl approaches her work with precision, professionalism, and a strong attention to detail. She is committed to maintaining accuracy in every aspect of her work.
Cheryl’s previous experience was working as a child protective investigator. Cheryl’s hobbies include traveling, exploring new places and restaurants, and vlogging about her experiences. While Cheryl is a dog person, she’s also a proud cat mom.

Office Manager
Daniel Schachter
Bachelors of Arts in History, Summa Cum Laude
Daniel is the office manager for Insight and has been with the company since its founding. He keeps the office running smoothly, handles invoicing, and helps clients with the file-sharing portal. Daniel approaches each task diligently and with the client’s best interests in mind. In addition to his responsibilities, Daniel has taken on the task of preparing tax returns during IAG’s busy seasons.
Prior to working at Insight, Daniel worked in special education, helping students of all ages improve their reading and reading comprehension skills. In his spare time, Daniel likes to hike, golf, attend live events, and read about historical topics.
